Studying: Menopausal Osteoporosis, Bone Markers · NCT07254429
About this trial
During menopause, estrogen levels drop while the level of another hormone - LH (luteinizing hormone) substantially increases. This hormonal shift is linked to bone Loss and other complications. Estrogen therapy can help, but some women avoid it due to the increased risk of blood clots and cancer. This project will investigate whether blocking LH could offer a safe alternative to alleviate symptoms and complications of menopause since it is known from previous research that high LH levels contribute to both bone deterioration and metabolic issues. The goal is to explore new treatment options th…
Studying: Deep Infiltrating Endometriosis (DIE), Infertility · NCT07696351
About this trial
Deep infiltrating endometriosis is a severe form of endometriosis that may reduce fertility and negatively affect pregnancy outcomes after assisted reproductive treatment. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist pretreatment may suppress endometriotic lesions, reduce inflammation, and improve endometrial receptivity, but its benefit before frozen-thawed embryo transfer remains uncertain.
This randomized controlled study will evaluate whether ultra-long GnRH-a pretreatment before hormone replacement therapy improves clinical pregnancy outcomes in patients with deep infiltrating endometriosis un…
Studying: Hematopoietic and Lymphatic System Neoplasm, Malignant Solid Neoplasm · NCT06513962
About this trial
This phase III trial compares the effect of giving triptorelin vs no triptorelin in preventing ovarian damage in adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer receiving chemotherapy with alkylating agents. Alkylating agents are part of standard chemotherapy, but may cause damage to the ovaries. If the ovaries are not working well or completely shut down, then it will be difficult or impossible to get pregnant in the future. Triptorelin works by blocking certain hormones and causing the ovaries to slow down or pause normal activity. The triptorelin used in this study stays active in the body …

Ovulation triggering is a key step in IVF treatment, as it determines final oocyte maturation prior to oocyte retrieval.
Participants are randomly assigned to one of three ovulation trigger approaches: human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) alone, follitropin delta combined with hCG, or dual trigger using a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist plus hCG.
The primary objective is to evaluate wether adding follitropin delta at the tim…
Studying: Triple Negative Breast Cancer, Premenopausal Breast Cancer · NCT06225284
About this trial
Breast cancer (BC), especially premenopausal, is emerging rapidly in East Asia in recent 20 years. Half of the breast cancer patients in Asia are younger than 50 years of age. In general, younger or premenopausal patients are associated with poorer prognosis.
Premenopausal patients have higher estrogen levels than those in older (postmenopausal) patients. Estrogen is known to suppress anti-tumor T cell response and leading to tumor progression in different animal models (Clin Cancer Res 2016 22:6204), including lung cancer, melanoma, ovarian cancer. One of the mechanisms that contributes to e…

Studying: Adenomyosis · NCT06581679
About this trial
Adenomyosis is a condition where endometrial tissue grows into the uterine muscle, causing symptoms like pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, and infertility. This abnormal growth can lead to a variety of reproductive issues, including a higher risk of miscarriage and early pregnancy loss.
While there are treatments available for adenomyosis, they are often limited due to the lack of precise diagnostic criteria. One common approach is the use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa), which can improve pregnancy rates in infertile women with adenomyosis. However, it's important to note that G…

The recurrence rates of endometriosis reported in women 5 years after therapy with gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist were 74% for severe disease . No strategies to prevent the recurrence of endometriosis have been uniformly successful. Local progesterone treatment of endometriosis-associated dysmenorrhea with a levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) for 12 months has resulted in a significant reduction in dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain and dyspareunia; a high degree of patient satisfaction; and a significant reduction in the volume of rectovaginal endometriotic nodules. …
Studying: Idiopathic Short Stature · NCT00840944
About this trial
Estrogens are responsible for the disappearance of growth cartilage in the long bones at the end of the pubertal growth spurt both in boys and in girls. It is therefore hypothesized that stopping pubertal development and hence estrogen production, will prolong and increase the pubertal growth spurt, especially when growth hormone is given concommitantly.
Boys in early puberty, with a bone age between 11 and 13 years and a predicted adult height below 163 cm or girls in early puberty with a bone age between 10 and 12 years and a predicted height under 151 cm will be treated with triptorelin 3.…
Studying: Pregnancy Rate · NCT00542126
About this trial
Supraphysiological hormonal stimulation enables collecting many oocytes in an In-Vitro Fertilization treatment, but may have a negative effect on uterine function and contribute the fact that the majority of preembryos placed in the uterus fail to implant.
Several medical agents were shown to be beneficial when given in the luteal phase of an IVF cycle, but the optimal regimen has not been yet determined. In 2006, a European group reported that addition of GnRH analog (Decapeptyl) as luteal support in IVF cycle significantly improved pregnancy and delivery rates. It is not known whether this …
Studying: Infertility · NCT00417183
About this trial
The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of two controlled ovarian stimulation protocols, the GnRH agonist protocol, widely known as the "long" protocol, and the flexible GnRH antagonist protocol, in terms of pregnancy rates and embryological data, in infertile patients receiving IVF treatment.
Studying: Prostate Cancer · NCT00375687
About this trial
The purpose of this study is to determine whether early hormonotherapy is effective in the treatment of high risk prostate cancer patients after radical prostatectomy.
Studying: Breast Cancer · NCT00412022
About this trial
The HOBOE study was amended in November 2009, and, after reaching enrollment of the first 500 patients, the study began recruiting premenopausal patients only. The primary objective of the extended study is to compare disease free survival in premenopausal patients with early breast cancer. Patients receive triptorelin and are randomized in a 1:1:1 fashion to receive tamoxifen or letrozole, or letrozole + zoledronic acid.
The purpose of the HOBOE study, Version 1, was to compare the adjuvant hormonal therapy treatments of Tamoxifen, Letrozole and Letrozole + Zoledronate for their effects on b…
Studying: Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome · NCT00417144
About this trial
The purpose of this study is to compare pregnancy rates and the occurrence of OHSS in PCOS patients who were treated with GnRH agonist and GnRH antagonist protocols ovarian stimulation during an IVF cycle. Our hypothesis is that the GnRH antagonist protocol reduces the occurrence and severity of OHSS compared to the GnRH agonist protocol.
Studying: Prostate Cancer · NCT00003734
About this trial
RATIONALE: Androgens can stimulate the growth of prostate cancer cells. Hormone therapy using triptorelin and flutamide may fight cancer by reducing the production of androgens. It is not yet known whether giving hormone therapy for 4 months is more effective than giving therapy for 8 months prior to radiation therapy for prostate cancer.
PURPOSE: Randomized phase III trial to study the effectiveness of combination hormone therapy for 4 or 8 months followed by radiation therapy in treating patients with prostate cancer.
Studying: Central Precocious Puberty · NCT00438217
About this trial
The goal of CPP-EDG 01 study is to assess possible genetic and/or environmental parameters which may influence the growth rate of children affected by precocious puberty. In this view, we are collecting clinical data and biological samples of children attended as outpatients at the Pediatric Endocrine Center of Pisa from 1998 to present (the study is still open). From biological (blood) samples, gene polymorphisms such as endocrine disruptor levels are determined and compared to different growth pattern of pediatric patients treated with different GnRH agonists.
Registered trials include ones that haven't published results yet. Trials are matched on the compound's name and code names (Triptorelin, Trelstar, Decapeptyl) in the listed interventions.
