The Effects of Hyaluronic Acid on Skin Health

Not yet recruiting20 peopleRandomizedHans Laubach2026-10 → 2027-05🇨🇭 Switzerland

Studying: Skin Health · NCT07542132

About this trial

As people age, skin health gradually changes. The structure and function of the skin are modified, its ability to regenerate decreases, and certain biological changes may accumulate over time. These processes can make the skin more fragile and more sensitive to certain diseases, including skin cancer. In dermatological and aesthetic practice, injectable formulations based on hyaluronic acid are widely used to improve skin quality. Although these products are generally well tolerated, their deeper biological effects are most often assessed through subjective clinical observations. Quantitative…

Studying: Degenerative Joint Disease of Knee, Rheumatoid Arthritis · NCT07680101

About this trial

Degenerative knee joint diseases are characterized by chronic pain, inflammation, and functional impairment. Adelmidrol acts as a preventive antioxidant due to its radical scavenging activity, thus protecting hyaluronic acid from oxidative degradation and reducing mast cell degranulation. Furthermore, a reduction in endogenous Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) levels also contri…

Sodium Hyaluronate and Wavefront Aberrations in Dry Eyes

Completed50 peopleRandomizedRamathibodi Hospital2007-01 → 2010-06🇹🇭 Thailand

Studying: Dry Eye · NCT01363414

About this trial

Eyes with abnormal tear film function have been found to show larger optical aberrations than normal eyes which may be attributed to the unstable and irregular tear film, uneven ocular surface, and increased scatter due to the exposure of the rough surface of corneal epithelium after tear break-up. These hypotheses have been supported by the findings that instillation of artificial tears (sodium hyaluronate preparation) in dry eye patients reduces both corneal and ocular aberrations, improving the optical quality of the retinal image. However, the previous studies only evaluated the short-te…

Studying: Osteo Arthritis Knee · NCT06078449

About this trial

For many years' physiotherapists have been using ultrasound in treatment of knee osteoarthritis especially in geriatrics (people aged above 65 years) for its known therapeutic effect in relieving pain and improving knee function. Hyaluronan is used to treat osteoarthritis of the knee. Such treatments, called viscosupplementation, are administered as a course of injections into the knee joint, and are believed to supplement the viscosity of the joint fluid, thereby lubricating the joint, cushioning the joint, and producing an analgesic effect. Studies reveals the risk for falls increases with a…

About this trial

Placing implants immediately after tooth extraction offers several advantages such as preventing bone resorption, maintaining alveolar crest width and height, reducing surgical procedures and treatment time, in addition to good esthetic results. Immediate implant placement after tooth extraction is often associated with a residual gap between the implant surface and the residual bone walls. Osseointegration between the implant surface and the surrounding osseous walls of the extraction socket should increase using materials that promote new bone formation. Since both melatonin and hyaluronic a…
