Studying: Melanoma · NCT02225366
About this trial
The goal of this clinical research study is to find the appropriate dose of LL37 that can be given to patients with melanoma. Researchers also want to learn if LL37 can stimulate the immune system to help control the disease.
Studying: Passive Smoking, Oxidative Stress, Dental Caries, Children · NCT04292548
About this trial
The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of passive smoking on the levels of salivary TAS, TOS, LL-37 and dental status in children. In the study the parents of children were asked to fill out a complete survey about smoking habits. After filling out the questionnaire, according to the survey results, a total of 180 children were included to the study as follows; 90 children exposed to passive smoking, and 90 children in the control group (unexposed controls). Also demographic data were recorded (age, gender, parental education levels, child's tooth-brushing habit and child's da…
The aims of our study were 1) to evaluate levels of gingival crevicular fluid( GCF) human cathelicidin peptide LL-37 and serum vitamin D3 in smoker and non-smoker patients with chronic periodontitis(CP) 2) to determine whether any correlation between GCF LL-37 and vitamin D3 serum levels exist and 3) to asses the correlation between clinical parameters and biochemical markers
Studying: Peri-Implantitis and Peri-implant Mucositis · NCT06867250
About this trial
This research aims to explore the influence of vitamin D on the body's defense system by examining its impact on specific proteins involved in immune response and inflammation in the soft tissues surrounding dental implants. Also aims to determine how vitamin D levels affect these proteins and their role in protecting peri-implant tissues from microbial infections and inflammation.

Studying: Diabetic Foot Ulcer · NCT04098562
About this trial
Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a common complication of diabetes with global prevalence of 6.3%. Treatment of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is challenging with disappointing outcome. Wound debridement, infection control, pressure relief and revascularization are main pillars of DFU management. Various substances and modalities are being investigated for their potential effects in treating DFU, one of which is LL-37.
In this randomized, controlled trial, 40 patients with uncomplicated DFU will be enrolled. Patients are randomly assigned to undergo twice a week treatment with 0.5 mg/mL LL-37 cream (t…
Registered trials include ones that haven't published results yet. Trials are matched on the compound's name and code names (LL-37, cathelicidin) in the listed interventions.
